That’s 22.8 million young souls that can not read or write.

THE REASONS

Gender discriminatory

socio-economic status

geographical disparities

“Gender-wise, boys outnumber girls at every stage of education”-UNICEF

Majority of the OOSC belong to the poorest families living in the underprivileged and remote communities

Lack of education creates problems like

Poor Health

Lack of a Voice

Poverty Trap

Unemployment

Gender Inequality

Stagnant Economy

Education is the right of every child!

OUR APPROACH

To ensure quality and inclusive education for all children, we have designed a remote learning model to reach and teach OOSC. The model is tailored and customized for the needs of OOSC in the remote and underprivileged communities, while keeping the standard and quality of education at par with current education standards.

We strictly focus on Sustainable Development Goal 4

“ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all”

For we believe, that quality education is a basic right for every child, and the pathway towards bringing a positive change in our society.

OUR MODEL

Our model has three main components:

Community Engagement

ICT Integrated Learning

Technology

Community Engagement

Our idea is to facilitate the communities through an engagement model led by the community for the community.

A facilitator engages the community, highlights the problem, and motivates the community to take an initiative towards a better life for their children through education. The facilitator is extensively trained by the team to transform him/her into the role, where he/she can deploy and implement the model in his/her community. We believe training the community member is the key ingredient in initializing the change in the first place. The training is conducted through a complete guideline of online and onsite sessions by the training and development team.

ICT Integrated Learning

Diverse Age Group Model

Designed to cater the needs of diverse age groups of children with no prior experience of school, and is applicable to a child of 4 years and 15 years equally.

Accelerated Literacy

We have designed a customized accelerated curriculum to effectively develop literacy skills for primary and elementary education in a shorter duration.

  • Primary Education in 12 Months: A unique compression and segmentation of learning outcomes in 9 levels delivered in monthly order. The curriculum is developed for four subjects English, mathematics, urdu and science.
  • Elementary Literacy in 18 Months: A unique compression and segmentation of learning outcomes in 3 levels delivered in bi-monthly monthly order for each grade. The curriculum is developed for five subjects English, mathematics, urdu, islamiyat and science.

Blended Learning

Each lesson is developed through the smart integration of video lessons, which are curated and aligned with learning objectives. This will help children develop a better understanding of their lessons.

Digital Assessments

Every level of curriculum is assessed through a digital assessment application; this enables our assessment team to evaluate and analyse the learning outcomes of every child in these remote areas

Technology

We have developed a technology driven approach which delivers educational content through offline resources, and requires minimal power sources supported by solar panel systems. The model is sustainable and requires no technical training for operations by the user. The technology components are derived from mini-projectors and mini-chips based computers capable of running a complete digital school in a portable box.
